SAMPLE ARTIFACT

The report we'd send you, including the bad month.

We have no customer logos to show you yet, so here is the work instead: a complete monthly drift report, start to finish, for a customer who doesn't exist. The company and the numbers are invented. The format, the mechanisms, and the candor are not.

Page 1: cover and summary verdict. Month 04, 1-31 July 2026. Headline reads 'Two measures improved. Four went the wrong way.' Page 2: the numbers. A six-row table comparing each measure against the week-0 baseline, month 3 and month 4, with a direction column. Page 3: findings DR-01 through DR-04, each with mechanism, evidence and a severity rating. Page 4: findings DR-05 through DR-07, including a correction of our own previous analysis and one thing the probe cannot measure. Page 5: actions in priority order, each with an owning role and an effort estimate.

Why a sample that makes us look bad. Four of the six measures in this report moved the wrong way. One finding is us correcting an analysis we got wrong the month before, and another is a question we still cannot answer without access we have promised not to ask for. That is deliberate: a sample artifact reporting that everything is fine is not evidence of anything. Contoso Logistics does not exist — a real customer's report is confidential and will never appear on this site or in a deck, which is exactly why this one was written from scratch.
